A dedicated betting area inside OneFootball, designed for fans new to betting, from the sitemap to the handoff.

Context

OneFootball is a global football media platform. Through a partnership with Odds Scanner Group, where I was design manager, it set out to bring betting content, data, odds and probabilities to its audience in English, Portuguese and Spanish. The website came first. The brief was a dedicated area inside OneFootball’s product, with guides, tips, reviews and comparisons of operators.

Objective

Turn fans’ trust in OneFootball’s editorial into first deposits with partner operators, with content that helps people decide.

Process

We designed for three kinds of fans, from complete beginners to curious fans, along the path from discovering a topic to acting on it. The structure did not need to change from one profile to another, so one persona became the baseline for every wireframe. The work went from sitemap and annotated wireframes to final screens, a light mode and handoff, on desktop and mobile.

The notes in the file record the reasoning. Content that builds confidence alternates with content that converts, related reading keeps people inside their decision, and we questioned any section that led people away.

Identity

The area lives inside OneFootball’s product and speaks its visual language, black and white with a bright accent, in dark and light modes. We split the components in two. The page frame and the editorial cards belong to OneFootball, and the odds modules and operator marks belong to betting, so each side stays distinct.

Outcome

The two companies announced the partnership with a website-first rollout. We handed off the area as a complete system of around twenty page types, on desktop and mobile, in dark and light.
